Testimonials - MathAudio Headphone EQ

Dear MathAudio staff,
I discovered your headphone EQ only few hours ago, but I have to make my compliments for your work.
I'm doing a huge listening work, and it can happen I have to use my earphones for several hours.
I listen to different genres (dubstep and EDM, heavy and power metal, classical, rock and hard rock) and I've never noticed that bad "super stereo" effect until I tried your plug-in, minimizing that unpleasant sound.
Now I'm honestly less fatigued by my audio sessions, so I think my ears will be less damaged thanks to your software.
I compliment you again for the great and useful work you've done for everyone's ears :)

Hello my friends of mathaudio.
This is Cássio from brazil.
Yesterday i was running the trial version of headphone eq and i must say that i love it!
I never thought to equalize a good headphone would be a good idea... but it helped me to fix a resonance in my phones and now they sound perfect... really smooth. And with the crossfeed the listening experience is even more pleasant.
Thanks a lot! This plugin makes me really happy! Thanks!!
Best regards from brazil!

Hi,
I've been using your Headphone EQ plugin for Foobar2000 on Windows for a while now, with excellent results.

You guys rock!

Hey There!
I really enjoy the clean sound of the crossfeed section, good job on that!
It sounds as clean as a simple crossfeed, but without the nasty side effects!
Cheers!

The Oratory filters were easy enough to input into Headphone EQ, however I needed to tweek ALL of them. Mostly the amount of db gain or reduction for each filter, from the Oratory settings, was way out of proportion.
But that has nothing to do with MathAudio Headphone EQ obviously, more to do with the diferences in the headphones  - both mine and the Oratory test phones and more to the point, the differences in the Oratory test 'HEAD' rig and MY massive Melon !
Anyway, the Oratory filter set WAS a good starting point for my Fostex cans and it didn't take too long for me to tweek their filters, add some more filters and settle on a filter set that I was quite satisfied with.
Well done dudes.

Hi!
I am a record mix engineer who does with headphones.
I've tried your headphone EQ and that crossfeed is fantastic!
I used <...>, <...> but I think your crossfeed is the best.

Testing your Headphone EQ further I have to say I'm impressed!
First your EQ filters are exquisitely clean sounding.
Second, your crossfeed works without changing the audio tone, balance or character.
Obviously the maths in MathAudio!
The disadvantage of other plugins is that the headphone EQ and crossfeed are separate plugins, making the outbound chain more complex, whereas Mathaudio does it all in one.
I already own <...> and <...>, both I've struggled with. <...> alters the tone and muddies the audio a bit, <...> sounds a bit plasticky. I've also trialed <...> which seems to retain a more flat tonal response, but still changes the sound a bit.
Your crossfeed works without changing the tone or balance of the audio signal, exactly what I want - something I can trust that's not artificial or fooling my ears. I've even loaded it into Plugin Doctor and sure enough my ears are right, perfectly flat response and phase when switching crossfeed on and off. Brilliant again.
Mathaudio Headphone EQ, using Beyerdynamic DT880 correction filters from Oratory1990's list, and crossfeed is the first time I've found a headphone combination that is clean, clear, balanced and the knowledge it is not messing with the audio I am mixing, so I can trust it. Exactly what I want and so simple.
I mostly mix on my speakers, but switch to headphones either for a change for my ears or to check finer details and get another perspective on the mix. Or sometimes if any of my family are in bed and I'm working.
Your crossfeed does not try to be a speaker, it does not change the source tonally, it just subtly pulls the wide space from inside my head to slightly in front of my head - exactly what I want it to do ... and nothing else!
Those tests prove I can trust what I'm hearing is not altered, so mixing is based on the source, which is great.
As always with Mathaudio, simple solutions that just work, don't try to do things they don't need to, no hype, and above everything else are very clean, clear and just good sounding. I don't know why I've not tried your Headphone EQ before now.

Mathaudio Headphone EQ did it again. OMG what a difference. I'm not realy a headphone person but this budget AKG headphone is nothing special but after EQ this headphone shines way way beter than without. Just as Mathaudio Room EQ it's like a vail that is lifted. Low is way more present an mids an highs are more bright but not overdone. Did found this almost brand new headphone used for only 2,50 euro but it sound now like a headphone of 200 euro.
